Happy Labor Day!!!!

Had all of my family over for a picnic and of course RAIN!!! Oh well it is tradition that it rains when I have an outdoor event LOL I love Fall so I incorporated some Mums in my picnic decor....everyone have a relaxing Labor Day!!! I am in the education field so I am back to work....ugh!!! Debbie

Anyone Else Addicted to Homegoods ?

As I have said before I am a Pottery Barn lover,however my checkbook does not have that kind of power.... So what's a decorating addict to do.....HOMEGOODS!!!!! I have gotten some great buys there for great prices. You really have to be diligent ,they get new stock in all the time. This week I bought a new chair that reclines 299$, an adorable clock 14.99$, and a cute seaside style lantern 14.99$!!!! Now I know that sounds like alot, I usually do not purchase big furniture pieces , but this cutie I could not pass up. This chair looks good and still let's the hubby recline and watch his fav TV shows!!!! I have managed to get the look I love without a big price tag, and in this economy that's a must.... Yes Another Pillow

Ok.....pillows anonymous here I come!!! I just cannot pass up a beautiful.....pillow!!!!!
On my Cape May trip of course I found a must have from Circa Dee's booth at The West End Garage.Now mind you my closet is filled with pillows,but this one I could not pass up.I have visions of myself as an old lady sitting in a rockin chair surrounded by.... yes......PILLOWS!!!! I will be in a pillow rehab...oh well it is not the worst thing I could collect LOL Stay Peaceful Debbie

Off To Cape May Again!!!!!!

I am heading to Cape May tomorrow with my friends from work.Some of them have never been there, so I am the tour guide!!!! I will visit The West End Garage, and hopefully come home with a goodie or two.... Hopefully we can have a tea luncheon !!!! There is nothing like shopping, friends,and a good cup of tea. What Makes A Home Beachy?

When I moved closer to the beach I was finally able to decorate in the vintage beachy style I have always loved. Now my house is filled with seashells, whales, and my beloved starfish!!!! My walls are all white so I can change my pillows and accent pieces with ease. I have lots of signs that have beach sayings in beautiful baby blue colors. Sisal rugs and baskets are a must!!! lol I have replaced curtains with bamboo roman shades to really capture the relaxed seaside feeling.Although my house is not right on the water, it is close enough!!!! In my mind I am on a cliff overlooking the water in Nantucket!!! That is where I will stay for now....
