Farmhouse Mantel Makeover...,

Home for days now so....redecorate something ....Lol. I ordered a great vintage sign from Etsy...that started the ball rolling!!!!! Went to work on my mantel ... feeling more Farmhouse this week... I have multiple decorator personality disorder!!!!!! If I don't get to work soon I will re decorate the whole joint. LOL LOL Here is what I came up with... And yes it was all sitting in my garage .....

Grabbed these babies at.....wait for it.....HOMEGOODS,,, SURPRISE !!!! LOL LOL

Great pillow also on clearance at Homegoods....

 

When we moved into my Townhome this fireplace was not there ...my talented hubby built it!!!!

Bye Bye Frankenstorm Happy Halloween!!!!!

Hi all..,storm is gone,but the damage is done!!!! My Jersey Shore is devastated, and so are many families. Halloween has been cancelled, Trick or Treating postponed. I feel bad for all the kiddos! Lives have been altered forever....and so has our beautiful shores.....many still without power....schools closed for a week. In my heart it is still Halloween so I lit the candles and the pumpkins!!! My heart goes out to all my Jersey Girls....

Welcome Home Wednesday #6

Hi all!!! Home with no power after the devastating effects of Sandy!!! My heart goes out to all the people on the Islands....we were lucky...just some tree branches down ...and no power. Maybe powerless for seven to ten days!!! Luckily , we invested in a generator after the last storm... hope everyone stays SAFE!!! Now lets party......

Keeping It Simple...,,

Over the years my decorating style has changed.At one point I was into the "country clutter", now it seems I have gone to uncluttered and streamlined. I had all my walls painted and papered... now everything is white.This allows me the freedom to change patterns on my pillows and window treatments. I just long for a simple elegant look.,, sometimes less is more!!!!! Debbie :)

Simple Halloween Party Ideas!!!!!!

Hi all....Sandy is on its way to the East Coast and we are all hunkering down!!! My school district is closed for Monday and Tuesday.... maybe I will clean a closet? Lol Last night my sister hosted a family Halloween party!!! Her house looked awesome... and her menu was so spooky!!!! My niece and nephew spent weeks constructing a frightening Haunted House in their basement!!! Kudos Meg and Tommy!!!!!! My Mom who is 75 years young won the costume contest....but I will save that surprise for last!!!!! I hope you all enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed the party!!!! Cranberry Festival and Bittersweet...,,

Hi all... the weather in my neck of the woods has been wonderful!!! Cool, crisp and the fall foliage has been spectacular!!!! On Sunday I had some me time and went to The Cranberry Festival in a small town called Chatsworth . Everything about it had that " small" town feel. There were hundreds of vendors selling their wares... crafts, food , fashion , you name it!!!! I came upon a booth selling herbs and various plants. I was immediately drawn to a bushy, twiggy plant with bright orange berries.....my mind went into overdrive!!!! Oh what could be done with this .... A swag... a wreath... garland ? Well I ended up doing something very simple. I put it in an old zinc bucket and placed it on my mantel. LOVE IT!!!!! Colors are great and it looks so interesting. I just have to make sure my pup doesn't get in to it....poison for pets!!!! Well... Till my next adventure Stay Peaceful. Debbie:)
